Next week is Thanksgiving and today I was speaking to a client who was bemoaning the fact that she once again had to travel to a friend's house where that family is always fighting on that holiday. We had a good laugh since, well, we all know that there are dues to be paid when we visit our own families over the holidays (as well as mouths to be zipped and tempers to be tided), but, well, it really is going the extra mile, even if that is over the river and through the woods, to have to go to a friend's house to give great thanks and then to be treated to a double helping of their historical hysterics.
So, I did what any good guru would do and told her to stay home this year and talk turkey instead of listening to everyone else talk smack. But, she's obligated so then I told her next best thing, take a yellow mum as a hostess gift when she goes.
See, not only does the mum bring the bearer lots of good karmic compensation but it also promises to put some mighty good fortune and luck into whatever place it's planted. As well, bringing a fresh, yellow mum to host/hostess will also bring a heaping helping of harmony and happiness as these florals are THE ones that have been recognized through the ages as the flowers that transmit tranquility and peace. Perfect for a family free for all! I mean to augment the family tree. Really, that's what I meant.
Now, you have a week to go out and get a yellow mum to put around your own place in order to bring more blessings to the table as you say your humble grace. Honestly, you can thank me later. Amen.
