Once upon a Hollywood time, someone might have thought that the two words ‘August’ and ‘Rush’ made for a great movie title, but, for our intents and your energetic purposes this month, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, August brings challenges and choices, pleasure and some precision required in order for you to actually stay strong and stay satisfied while staying static in the slow lane. Consciously choose to fall far away from the fast talkers who don’t necessarily have your best interests always at heart. Especially at the office. If you follow your own, (heart that is) you will be sure to strike some melodious chords while ending the month (slow) dancing to the beat of some creatively beautiful music of your very own making. The month kicks off with an imaginative and inventive Full Moon in Aquarius rising on August 5 that promises to put you on a path that cuts through the chaos seemingly all around. It does appear that the light that shines from this moon could also illuminate a practical and perfect solution to some pressing problem occurring in either your professional or your personal life. Thanks for that Full Moon! Now, you may just want to hold some of that gratitude in check though in the days immediately following. See, frustration and a sense of discomfort color your world when disciplinarian Saturn reins in your enthusiasm and your inspiration in and around the 10th. Look, instead of always trying to seek permanent or ultimate solutions or answers to your temporary problems why not just try to go with the flow and keep the faith? Really, your only job during distressing times when life becomes a bit confusing is to focus your efforts and your energies on what is happening in the present moment. There’s a reason that the words ‘present’ and ‘gift’ are synonymous you know. In any case, by the time the whimsical New Moon hangs high in the sky on the 20th you will find your balance has come back with a vengeance while also feeling restored, reenergized and almost, dare I say it, resplendent! A far cry from the same you of several weeks ago. That’s right, dry those tears. While choosing not to engage in the quarrels or the fights that don’t have a point. It seems that the edge comes off with the gloves and you really do decide that it’s easier to make love than it is to engage in a constant war of words. Avoiding arguments over the silliest things might be a bit harder when Mercury, Mars and Pluto decide that they can’t play in the same sandbox together on the 25th and 26th, but, you should try your best to stay completely free from their influential power struggles. Contrary to what your astrological impulses are, you simply just cannot control everything all the time. You can try though. But, this month especially, it won’t get you anywhere but disjointed, disgruntled and dismissive. Rather, embrace the new cycle of creativity that you enter into end month because that motivation promises to hug you right back. Okay, so, just to recap, here’s what we know about August: You shouldn’t rush to do anything. Career relationships will be challenging while family ones will be sweet and supportive. If you weren’t an Aries, then, well, I might be a bit more hesitant to offer this month’s recipe for total success in every area of your life. But, Aries, since you do tend to live these next pieces of advice during almost every moment of almost every day, well, piece of cake. Creamy, delicious, yum delightful cake! Here we go: play by and follow all the rules. Shortcuts will short-circuit your efforts this month. And remember to forget the petty stuff. Focus on the details. I’m told that’s where God lives. Lastly, don’t shirk any responsibilities but, rather, fulfill them all. And then they will fulfill you right back. Since it appears that the tricky energies might be surrounding your sense of self-esteem this month, let’s open those energies to some positive planetary intercession. Placing an empty bowl or vase, or, even two, outside your front door (on either side) will invite and bring totally new beginnings almost immediately into your life. Alternately, you can place an empty vase or bowl anywhere inside the ‘Career’ area of your main floor in order to enact that same success-full result. Open sesame? Nah! Abracadabra? Uh uh. It’s the open vase or bowl that waves your magic wand this whirlwind of a month!
