Your Stars:
Your sun sign of Libra has long been associated with a specific set of scales, in fact, the scales most associated with the concept or quality of justice. However, this month, your astro energies are so all over the place that those scales tip back and forth and back and forth rising first on one side and then on the other in herky jerky movements. No justice there my friend, none really at all! Clearly, you will need to stay consciously centered in order to maintain any sort of balance. Now, of course, all these erratic energies don’t sit particularly well with you since Balance, with a cap ‘B’ is essentially your middle name. But don’t give up Libra because if anyone knows how to deftly and adeptly handle instability, well, it’s you. The good news is that as Mars advances in Gemini, your solar 9th House of Travel through the 24th, mid-month would be as good a time as any to head out of town for a friends and family trip that will somewhat stabilize this month’s constant juggling act. In fact, the more I assess the more I see that your August calendar seems perfectly content carving out tons of time for some swell summer outings. The push me to pull you energies engage as early as August 1 when usually warm and loving Venus takes a swing at potent Pluto. This causes that same old/same old agenda of trying to take control of certain critical aspects of your life to come to life yet again. This exact same recurrent theme arises again at the tail end of the month when that warrior Mars puts his aggressive two cents in on the 26th. That’s the worst of it. The tippy top and the tail end of this month will both see you struggling to maintain equilibrium with the same circumstances that have pushed you off kilter too many times in the past. However, all that said, the middle of the month allows you a big breather and even, dare I say it, some down time to relax and unwind! For example the creative Full Moon that falls on August 5 actually flies into your 5th House of True Love and Play. This house is also associated with whimsy and joy and all things childlike. So, don’t be surprised if you find a whole new wondrous approach to dealing with the aforementioned and challenging oppositions. You might even feel magnanimous enough to begin to find opportunities hiding inside those obstacles. You own version of Hide and Go Seek. However, just when you thought it was safe to tred back into deep emotional waters, both Jupiter and Saturn sling a sideways glance into your 12th House of Conclusions bringing that latter word to literal life. As these planets muddy those waters on the 19th there might well be some inner promptings to part company with someone who keeps making you promise after promise but can’t ever seem to deliver. Although your instinct will be to pucker up and kiss off, you’d be better advised to kiss up and move on. See with these planetary tensions rising both beginning and end month there’s just not much of anything that will be accomplished right now. Except possibly conflict and confrontation. Yuck. The best attitude adjustment you can embrace is to simply sit on the sidelines until this sideshow is all over. Otherwise you are simply courting frustration and, well, don’t say I didn’t warn you. For this month at least, the ones who you are constantly trying to get to actually hear you are still stone deaf. Don’t push. Don’t pull. Just be. Soon enough you will find a special someone who is dedicated to fulfilling your needs and desires. Just not this month. I tell you truly that if you can just accept the unacceptable and even sit squarely in the extremes you’ll find it’s not as uncomfortable as you might have thought. And, as previously mentioned, it is only temporary. The Leo New Moon lighting up your 11th House of Friends and Loved Ones on the 20th gives you the best break of the month while also giving you cosmic permission to go out and play, play, play. To your heart’s content! And this is just the ticket to turn your waning confidence around and bring you a clearer sense of purpose and power. Stay in that space even as the month ends and you’ll be amazed at how truly temporary this unstable atmosphere really was. I promise that positive change is peeking out from just around the corner. You just need to watch those same sharp edges in August.

Your Shui:
Although we all might have heard about how Oprah blew out her thyroid, in times of stress and instability it’s burning out the adrenals that we all need to be careful of. Never more true than for you this month Libra. The emotional debris left by anger, irritation or anxiety can actually begin to shift your body over into an acidic state making balance a physically hard thing to come by. There is, however, a cleansing breath that brings balance back to your body’s ph by reducing the acid load and adjusting the adrenals. It goes like this: Kneel and rest your butt on your heels. Breathe in deeply through your mouth with your lips formed like an ‘O.’ Now, with your tongue at the back of your top teeth, blast that breath out on an exhalation that sounds like “th.” On the exhale bend forward until your forehead touches the floor in front of you and then sit back up again. Th-th-this breath will allow you to feel completely calmed and totally centered. An august and helpful adjustment to a sometimes sour month!
