Your Stars:
You’re usually pretty good at keeping the candle lit at both ends without spontaneously combusting Cancer. However, with energies really heating up on both the domestic and the work front this month it’ll be imperative for you to keep a calm and cool head to go with your natural even and cooler, calmer demeanor. Believe me, October promises enough activity on the home front to keep those fires and possibly even some tempers burning too, but, these sorts of circumstances actually hardly ever ruffle your family-oriented feathers. Luckily, there are enough planetary alignments in store to keep everyone under your roof on the same wavelength with only occasional static on that line. It’s the career that clamors for more attention that rankles but the possible praise that’s in store will more than make up for the hours away from the nest. An irritating Full Moon on the 4th teeters and then totters between harsh reality and fluffy fantasy and your own energies follow suit. One minute you’re sharp as a tack, the next you’re off in never-never land daydreaming away. Don’t stop dreaming though as some of those fantasies are filled with intuitive insights that others will recognize straightaway as stunning flashes of brilliance. When you finally do decide to settle down to focus, point that laser beam on the circumstances and situations that you have some control over as opposed to spending time worrying about what you just can’t fix. You are well advised to keep your temper in check when Mercury and Saturn conjunct from the 8th to the 10th, a tense and tremulous time to say least. Your previous flashes of brilliance might turn into lightning bolts of bad temper, particularly where hot button issues from the past are concerned. Even though the phoenix can rise from the ashes better you take a few steps back and think about the best possible philosophical and diplomatic perspective and way to approach this agenda before spreading your big wings and crashing into the Sun. You can find opportunities wrapped inside some of the more obstinate obstacles but you actually have to be looking and, well, willing to take some heat. Better yet, why not just take off the rose colored glasses and get a better view of your current reality? And then remember that this too shall pass. In fact by the time the Libra New Moon rises on the 18th and illuminates your 4th House of Home and Family you will be oh so ready and really happy to be basking in hearth and harmony. Super supportive trines from the tremendously tornadic trio of Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron will bring you boatloads of inner peace, intuition, inspiration and plain old everyday magic. The best of all worlds and the best of all month, these days offer an opportunity to make the environment all around you and the one going on inside you as pretty and perfect as they can be. Reflect your inner own beauty on your outer surroundings by doing a little sprucing and you’ll never feel more at home with yourself! The Sun’s entrance into secretive and sexy Scorpio on the 23 lights up your 5th House of True Love and shines on your sense of confidence, worth and esteem. You’re hot and you know it. So does everybody else. Just sayin’. With Saturn entering your 4th House of Home on the 29th, you may have some lessons to learn from family, but there are plenty of treats to be gleaned from some tricky situations. By the time this month ends you’ll find yourself enjoying a lot of attention and life will seem frightfully fun. Now, see, October wasn’t so scary after all!

Your Shui:
Old Will Shakespeare might have been looking at your October astro energies when he wrote “Double, double toil and trouble,” since the Full Moon early on spotlights your position at work while time away for that same agenda potentially causes some conflict at home. But those witches standing around stirring up that eye of newt can’t hold a broomstick to the fortune and luck that Feng Shui bats can find by simply hanging around your place. Red bats signify happiness and prosperity according to this philosophy and when five of them take up residence in your home, exceptionally good fortune and success follow suit. Simply hang an image of five red bats somewhere inside your ‘Fame’ area and watch as your world turns upside down. In a good way, of course!
