There’s a wonderful song from the great film/Broadway play WEST SIDE STORY that starts out with a lyric that goes like this: “Could be…Who knows…There’s something due, any day…I will know, right away…Soon as it shows.” Well, these lovely lyrics couldn’t help me to describe what you can ‘expect’ this month any better if I tried. See, there’s a sense of expectation in the air and changes abound. The best and highest result of these significant shifts will be your total transformation into something so much closer to your ideal than you ever dreamed. You’ll now realize the opportunities that you are being given to go ahead and start to really soar are a bit more difficult than you might like but well worth the angst and effort. All of that said though, first you’ll have to embrace what’s coming down the pike regardless how resistant and possibly even fearful that you might feel. Digging your heels in and holding onto the status quo this month won’t get you anything but cracks and blisters. Oh, and a whole lot less growth. Of the good kind. However, if you submit and surrender and then go with the flow you’ll be sure to float into your own personal event horizon with ease and grace. Don’t count on a lot of support from siblings either, especially early in the month. With Mercury squaring off against Mars in your 3rd House of Oh Brother (and sisters too!) on the very first day of November, the potential for some strain in those relationships will be strong. A sense of inner serenity and calm does prevail on the next day when the Full Moon rising in your 12th House of Spirit and the Subconscious on the second gives you some much needed grounding during the following few dreamy days. And speaking of spirit, those three healers, Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune electrify your 6th House of Self Improvement beginning on November 8, asking you to take a big leap of faith and believe that you hopes for a happier, healthier and far more abundant life are unfolding. The days surrounding the charge emitted by this planetary one-two-three punch are brilliant. And so are you. Use this time wisely because you will remember it for a long while to come. There is static on the lines from the 19th to the 26th especially where emotionally enveloped relationships are concerned. Just be clear about what it is that you need and what it is that you want and don’t be fooled by fantasy or even somebody else who just might not have your best interests in their heart. October looks to be one terrorific month for you what with some lingering lessons from last month’s stinky Saturn / Uranus alignment pushing you to resolve a long-standing and emotionally sensitive issue. That said, once you can move past that muddle, say so long to the old and make way for meeting all the new, everything begins to get better and better. So good in fact that I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see you standing in a much steadier financial place by the time ghosts and goblins from your past are tp’ing someone else’s yard end month. Seriously, it’s time for fun. And whimsy. And creativity. And, oh, did I say fun? I know you felt like your back was pushed against a wall last month, but October allows for respite and relief all the while also offering ways to reestablish balance and equilibrium. With your ruling planet, Mercury, moving forward again now, you’ll be awash in new and exciting ideas that promise to be doubly engaging as well as wildly entertaining. You are a people magnet. You are simply spell binding this month with far more opportunities to let your hair down than you’ve had in a quite a long while. And, well, with all these good hair days and magical energies sprinkling gallons of faerie dust on you, there’s no better time to get out and about and network, network, network! The easiest ways to kick up opportunities for recognition and rewards is to use a little Feng Shui secret in the, shhhhh, bedroom! Take two round one sided mirrors and locate both the ‘Career’ and the ‘Fame’ areas of that same room. Affix one mirror each, three inches down from the ceiling in both of these areas to activate energies that will reflect big, bold blessings right back at you. Now there’s not even a need to ask who’s the fairest of them all. We know who!

No use sugar coating, this probably won’t be the sweetest month of the year for you. Now, that said, the planets do promise that the lessons you assimilate this early Autumn will hold you in good stead and bring beautiful blessings before 2009 is through. But I don’t know how much dangling that carrot can keep you from reaching the end of your own rope during some tense and troublesome times in September. It appears that old tug of war between your past and your future will rear its head again now, and, well, this conflict is just getting really tiresome and really, really old. You can’t be everywhere at once and yet you are constantly called to come home while also wanting to take to the road and find the freedom that comes with the fame that you know you so deserve. I guess it probably won’t matter if I tell you, again, that these conflicting energies are all thanks to a restrictive and disciplinary Saturn sitting in your 4th House of Home keeping all of those energies strictly sitting under one roof. While unpredictable Uranus totally opposes Saturn’s stingy approach by filling your 10th House of Recognition and Rewards with effervescence and engaging energies. Never the twain of these two shall meet. Never, ever. As if all of that weren’t enough, your ruling planet, Mercury the Messenger, goes retrograde on the 6th making you feel like you’ve been living and re-living these same energies over and over and over again. Groundhog Day anyone? In fact, this push/pull between responsibilities and freedom comes to the fore early on as the Full Moon on the 4th emphasizes this recurring theme. Think outside the box and step outside yourself to actually find the answers that you have been begging the Universe to provide. They are there. And they might sound something like this; you have been going back and forth and over and over this same terrain in order to finally consider some new ideas that could potentially overcome your inertia where initiating forward actions are concerned. Finally, the turning point is here and it’s now. It’s also time to combine your need for security with your desire for freedom and find a personally palatable solution to this continuing conundrum. The Virgo New Moon on the 18th might bring just the energetic push you need to pull away from the old while heading in a totally new direction. This month’s energies allow you to reevaluate and reflect on where you have been and where you are going. Get out your passport to personal power because it’s definitely time to move on. Try best to bring all outstanding issues and obligations to a current state of closure and tie up as many loose ends in September as you can. If you do this you won’t be swinging from the end of your rope, but, rather, will be able to use it to lasso the future of your dreams. Since there might be times this month that you may not be able to feel the ground beneath your feet, let’s try a Feng Shui ritual that addresses that same anomaly. Sit with your spine straight and eyes cast downward. Breathe deeply and visualize that you are sending a firm and golden cord from your heart deep into the ground beneath your feet. Imagine your body sending pulsing golden light into this cord. After a few moments, bring the cord back up into your heart again and take several dep breaths before resuming your activities. Your financial forecast is as hot as the temperatures this month with a potential to see it rising, in the form of a raise, looming large on the August horizon. Of course, you will have to start believing in that possibility and stop worrying about potentially drowning in debt. With first Venus, the planet of love and money and then Mars, her warrior consort both pissing off Pluto in your solar 8th House of Intimacy and Money for much of August, you’re attention is bound to be tied up in your bottom line. And, if your stars have anything to say about it, you’ll be pondering your paydays while sitting on a beach or mountaintop somewhere since the August 5 Full Moon beckons you to pack your bags and head off to a short and sweet vacation. Look, if you suspend your constant shopping for five minutes you could actually afford to go someplace relaxing and revivifying. And, well, since you should also be avoiding making important, key or critical domestic decisions involving life on the home front for a few weeks this month it makes perfect sense to try and escape during these dog days. Now, while we’re speaking of dogs, I should also mention that with Mars marching through your sign for the majority of August you’ll have a hankering to unleash an onslaught of ambitions. Of course, this will feel sort of counter intuitive to hanging ten or backpacking through a beautiful state park. Don’t allow any seemingly pressing personal matters distract you from dreaming of future destinations during the middle of this month either. With Jupiter and Chiron traveling alongside Neptune mid-month you are poised to push through to some personal spiritual enlightenment and inspiration. But it will be incumbent upon you to remain focused on the big idea contrary to the frustrations associated with an apparent inability associated with a lack of follow through. Look, if I’m telling you that you’re going to feel a little unfocused, scattered and out of kilter from the 19th through the 22nd, then why don’t you just go ahead and plan accordingly? Do something constructive and demonstrative to diffuse the tensions surrounding those days that doesn’t have to do with stopping by the local mall for some retail therapy. We covered spending any of your August agenda that way already, didn’t we? Unfortunately, the energies don’t get much more supportive at end month either with a whacked out New Moon rising on the 20th in your 3rd House of Communications. An unsettled sense of anxiety can add to your already amped up feelings of frustration and irritation. So, this then would be yet another perfect time this month to pack it up in order to escape the temptation and tendency to potentially pack it in. Don’t allow your restlessness to prompt rash behavior, but, rather, use those energies as fuel to find a happy place where control issues and power struggles don’t exist. The only decision maker you should be alienating at the end of this month is the one standing behind the Tiki bar waiting for you to decide on the margherita or the rum punch. Go ahead and pull that punch as opposed to involving yourself in any other struggles. Believe you me, you’ll be really happy you did!

There’s just no stellar way around it Gemini, there are times this month, due to pushy and sometimes stinky planetary influences that will cause you to feel a little wacky and a lot wigged out. That’s the perfect time to get the hair for the passport if you ask me. But, in the case that travel to far out destinations isn’t financially feasible then just be sure to keep your mouth closed and your mind open with a good book waiting for you on a beach nearby. The good news is that you can help affect and assimilate all the wonderful inspiration offered you this month by placing a statue of a tortoise (or an image of same will do this trick too) anywhere inside your space. A tortoise, especially one made out of stone, both symbolically as well as physically slows down the movement of Chi and causes life to flow at a slow but really steady pace. If you do decide to enact this adjustment in some sort of 3-D form but don’t have a turtle to help you keep the pace, even placing a small collection of rocks or one heavy stone can promote a similar influence and impact. Be still and be smart and you’ll enter next month ready for all the opportunities that are soon to come your way.

For you though Gemini, July will whiz by as if flying down some sort of wind tunnel. If you find that you are having a hard time keeping up with your calendar than you might want to try a Feng Shui adjustment that promises a smooth and lazy flow up a lazy river. Literally. This philosophy that so often recommends placing moving water directly inside the front door in order to speed up the flow of opportunities, recommends the converse when the calendar is getting the upper hand. Place any image of slow or still water, like a lake or river, immediately inside the front door and then watch as your schedule becomes smooth as glass.
